A favourite of Cape Breton Gaelic tradition bearer Michael “Mickey” MacNeil, it tells the story of Luran, a farmer and fisherman with cattle, sheep, horses, and a good boat. But the fairies kept coming every night to steal his animals. He didn’t know what to do.
